yummy home-made hummus

Welcome to my first recipe, I am so excited to share it with you. This diet has not been easy and there have been a few tears I will admit.  I have been doing some planning for the next week of meals and gosh  it is going to be a hard week. Anyway back to the point of this post, my homemade hummus recipe. I use hummus as a protein with salads and breakfast.

It is such as easy recipe and it will last in the fridge for weeks. However it never makes the week as it all gets eaten. I use my nutribullet to make this but you can use any food processor that you have.

Ingredients

  1. 1 can chickpeas
  2. 2 tablespoons olive oil ( sometimes i add an extra spoon)
  3.  2 tablespoons lemon juice
  4. 1 clove garlic
  5. 2 tablespoons tahini
  6. 1 tablespoon water

Make it all yummy

  1. Crush the garlic clove and put it in your nutribullet cup and add the lemon juice.
  2. Add the olive oil and tahini.
  3. make sure you drain the chickpeas and then add them to the nutribullet cup.
  4. Now blend and blend, if you find that it is a bit dry add the extra olive oil. If that does not work than add some water.
  5. And just like that, you have some yummy hummus.

Oh I love the idea of making your own hummas! I love hummas anyway and like trying the different types from Tesco; I love the red pepper one and the Moroccan style one is also very yummy! I suppose when you make your own you can add in whatever you like to mix it up as well, too! Great post 🙂 xxx

Oh my gosh, I LOVE hummus. Thanks for the recipe! I will have to try it in a food processor since I don’t have a Nutri Bullet.

Hummus is life and family! Can I use a normal blender for this?

I am sure a normal blender would work as nothing is too hard

How long do you reckon this will last after making it (if it hasn’t all been eating)?

Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective.
A lot of times it’s difficult to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual
appeal. I must say you have done a awesome job with this. Additionally, the blog loads very quick
for me on Internet explorer. Superb Blog! https://www.footballzaa.com/out.php?url=http://www.mbet88vn.com

Hummus is one of those dips that literally takes minuets to make, and yet tastes sooooo Good! I love it, and this recipe is perfect. I’ve even used sesame seed oil instead of tahini when I ran out, and that worked good too. Great post thanks for posting!

I’m impressed, I must say. Seldom do I encounter a blog that’s both equally educative and entertaining, and without a doubt,
you’ve hit the nail on the head. The issue is something that
too few people are speaking intelligently about. I’m very happy that
I found this during my hunt for something regarding
    this. http://Www.bhccu.org/wp-content/themes/blackhawk/library/redirect.php?url=http://www.betfortuna1.com/188bet

When I was in college I worked at a pizza store with Lebanese owners and this is almost identical to how they made there hummus! It was always so good and I loved devouring it with some yummy pita bread! 🙂 Great recipe!
