Baobab conditioner

As you already know I am on a mission to make showering eco friendly. I am also on a mission to decrease the number of products I use that test on animals. This has not been an easy task.  The first eco conditioner I used left my hair in a knot and I got a comb stuck in my hair. This is the second eco conditioner I am testing and it is an improvement.

About the brand

Africa Organics is a 100% natural range of hair products that are cruelty-free. The ingredients come from African plants. The process of harvesting the fruits helps the community to earn money and by adding value to the tree the villagers are less likely to use the trees for firewood.  The company stands to help Africa grow and heal.

Baobab Conditioner Facts

200ml is R81.00 which can be bought at Dischem or on the Africa Organics Site.

The conditioner is designed for curly or dry hair.  It contains anti-oxidants from Rooibos to help with protection

My opinion

I have been using this product for about three weeks now. I find it to be very strange compared to past conditioners that I have used. Normally I use a rather rich conditioner that makes my hair feel really moisturized. I find that I have to use a rather large squeeze of this conditioner to get it to help my tangled hair. What I find so strange is as soon as I run it over my hair it feels like it disappears. I have found that when brushing my hair it is A LOT better than the other conditioner however, it still is a lot of work to detangle my hair.

Overall I do not mind this product but I am not sure this will be my go to conditioner. I still have some testing to do I think before I find the one for me.

Hey, really loving the style of your blog. In 2018, I became a vegetarian and would love to start replacing my cosmetics with more natural products. I don’t really know where to start with this tbh, but will be keeping an eye on your blog. Thanks and Take Care x

I have very thick and dry hair, and I already use a lot of conditioner, so if I wasn’t feeling like I was getting that moisture right away, not sure if I would keep using it. But it many ways it is good to read not so great reviews of products as well.

Very thorough review! I have a really hard time finding a good conditioner, because my hair get so knotted sometimes. So when I find a really good one, it’s hard to switch Brands. But going eco-friendly and cruelty-free is so important! Good luck on your journey finding the best products for you!

I rarely use normal conditioners after shampoo. I feel they do not do anything to my super frizzy hair. I always use a rich hair mask as a conditioner. This sounds good.
